Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy is a hands-on technique of assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction. Massage of the soft tissues and joints of the body will help to heal and maintain good health.
By manipulating the muscle tissue and trigger points, the function of the circulatory, lymphatic, musculoskeletal and nervous systems are improved greatly. Massage can increase the body’s natural ability to heal and recover from injury. Chronic muscle tension and pain can be released, leading to increased flexibility, decreased fatigue and stress, and improved quality of sleep. Massage Therapy has many benefits:
- Reduce pain, spasm, cramping, and headaches
- Stretch muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia
- Increase circulation to the affected area
- Decrease pain from stress related conditions
- Improve posture and movement
- Decrease post-surgical scaring
- Decrease stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression
- Create an overall feeling of well-being
Our Registered Massage Therapists are members of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and are highly trained to treat a wide variety of conditions related to sports injuries, automobile accidents, repetitive motions, work injuries, and tension from everyday stress.
