Allison Felix, PT, CAFCI
Registered Physiotherapist
Allison Felix, born a Nova Scotian, worked and travelled Canada from east to west but through her love of the water and wilderness has become deeply rooted in the Ottawa Valley.
Allison earned her Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University with the assistance of ROTP, completed her 10 year career working as a Physical Therapy Officer in Kingston, Ottawa and Petawawa. After military life Allison worked as a Physiotherapist in Alberta and Ontario, for hospitals, private and public clinics, WSIB, and home care, treating patients from 2 months to 102 year olds.
Through her time as a competitive sprint kayaker and war canoeist, cyclist, hiker, fitness enthusiast and CAF member, Allison has experienced first-hand the need to recover from injuries quickly and effectively to return to competition or full duties. Allison’s treatments emphasize exercise and education, and are supplemented with manual therapy, acupuncture, trigger point dry needling, taping, electro-therapy and pain management strategies. She attributes her career longevity to the pleasure she receives working in partnership with her patients to achieve their goals.
